Again, at the request of friends. I've never played the Half-Life series, though it's been on my list for a while, now... I'm thinking I should fix it, soon.
Well, thanks to the wonderful Wikipedia, I got an idea of the plot, as well as some info on the monsters.
After perusing the monsters, I elected to draw that Ichthyosaur/Ichthycanthus-thing. Just because, I mean.... man, is it uuuugly. And as fate would have it, all the references I found seemed to contradict each other in some fashion... which was odd. So I kinda made some stuff up as I went. I'll blame most differences on the fact that the thing's mouth is actually semi-closed, as opposed to hanging open like a barn door. And I tilted the tail fin-thing, 'cause that was one feature the references couldn't agree on. So now it's angled. ^_^
And look! I drew a person! ...ok, so it's only Freeman's legs. From underwater. But I think there's hope for me yet as far as peoples.

I have played Half-Life 2! And.... My god! WHY DID I NOT PLAY THIS GAME SOONER??! It was awesome! I am currently playing through HL-1, HL-Blue Shift, and HL- Opposing Forces. ....Yeah, I got turned into an HL fan about 2 minutes into the second game. >.>
My question is: "......how does it swim?" o.-.O
Thanks- In truth, I was actually despairing over the water for a bit- at least the surface bit. Then I looked at it after mucking about for a while and went, "...hey.... when did that happen?"

Spooky little critter you've got here. I really don't want him around when I swim. *hides her toes* And I think he's actually cute, in a creepy way. x3
Apparently it only shows up once in Half-Life 2 and in a cut-scene at that. But yeah, looking at how biologicaly implausible this dude is, I'd bet just about anything that he moves really creepy-like. So yes, keep those toes well hidden, methinks.
And y'know what? I think I agree with you on the cute part... as odd as it may be. He certainly wasn't cute when I started... I mean, this is not cute. At least, I don't think so. And the in-game pictures I found of it made it even uglier.
....really makes me want to play the game now, though....

It likely will- definitely worth a shot, yeah.
And your icon is cool @.-.@ We'll not talk about how long I've been staring at it.

lol
(my icon was made /w that effect in mind)
the intro sequence to the first half life is excellent (simply love how they run the credits, a very cinematic and interactive experience overall)
the second half life was subpar compared to the 1st (imo), so don't feel at a loss having to 'settle' /w the older one

(Well, it does a great job with it. Grah, I'm still staring at it.)
Hm, well, now that I have things like "a job" I can look into such things as "games" once more! w00t. Half-Life shall be obtained and played, sez I.

muaha, frozen by the avatar your productivity levels have reached 0 :joker:
i'm actually thinking of applying for an opening at the local gamestop, or there's a position in grafixwork (but i just got out of that)...
it's deffinitely cheaper to dig bargain/old games like half-life.
another one i'd recommend that runs around 10bux for the computer is halo (but you need a relatively good computer for it to run well), multiplayer is uber fun on this one (the pc exclusive maps are a blast) and it plays like a movie in single player

Unfortunately, my laptop's graphics card is uber-lame and can't handle Halo. Played it on other computers, though. Well, at least multiplayer. Much fun. ^.-.^
Though once I eventually get m'self a new(ish) compy, Halo's also on the list of things I want to play.
....this list is getting fairly long fairly quickly. Alas. Such is the way of things.
Ooh, gamestop opening. Fun. Or at least, much more fun than my job, I imagine.
