This is what I think should have happened at the end of The Prince of Persia - Sands of Time. Last Christmas I was introduced to the games and loved them. However, this doesn't prevent me from mocking the Prince's intelligence from time to time. I think it actually makes him a really cool character, this, "I don't do the smartest thing and can be an arrogant, stuck-up, prissy, pansy-boy" attitude he's got going on while kicking sand monsters around. Not to mention the fact that he's Monkey-Boy Extraordinaire to boot.
I think this is one of the few games that my mom didn't mind me telling her about as I played it. It's relatively short, and she and her boyfriend had already watched me play through the third game (got them out of order), heck, they'd actually helped me out with some of the boss fights. So she was familiar with the characters already, and then I ended up acting out most of the cutscenes for her, which she found very humorous. In fact, I believe she said it was my facial expressions she found the most funny.
(If you have played the game, do you recall the scene where the Sands of Time are unleashed by the Prince? Yeah, she found my rendition of that hilarious. It resulted in her commenting, "You're not the 'Prince' of Persia- You're the 'Royal Screw-Up of Persia'!")
I have to say that Farah, the princess here, always struck me as a pretty smart girl. So when this guy shows up in her bedroom in the middle of the night with one of her father's treasures that controls TIME, claims he stole it, messed up the timeline something wicked and that he's the prince of the country whose army is camped on her doorstep preparing to lay siege to her city, and then gives her this cool Time-controlling device (after killing off a traitor, of course), what should she do? Let the guy go and trust him that that was the only traitor and that his father will call off the army? Or maybe take some extra precautions to secure the safety of her city? Obviously the latter option, which would lead to a bit of tension between the Prince and his father, of course. >^.-.^<

Understandable? Really? Whew. I was kinda worried that only people who'd played the game would get it. Well, them, or people who had heard me jabber about it for a while. I love finding people with the same sense of humor.
Ahh, The Godfather- prime material, that. >^.-.^<
